To ease the effect of vertigo it is vital to stay calm and relax. Then a few exercises can also relieve the discomfort brought by this condition. The following are the simple exercises or steps to help shake off sensation and very effective in controlling the attack of sudden dizziness, aside from staying calm.
1. Exercise 1 – The first thing to do is to loosen up a bit, so the tension in the head, muscle and eyes will be lessened. Then stand up but make sure it is on a more level floor, this exercise is more like balancing the body to stand at rest for a minute or two. Maintain this position to prepare your body for the next step of the exercise for vertigo.
2. Exercise 2 – Then as soon as you are standing still and in perfect balance, try to sway your body from both sides while still maintaining balance at all time. Do this from time to time if you are having problems controlling your attack and then want to move onto the next step of this exercise.
3. Exercise 3 – The final steps will require you to rotate your body for 360 degree or a complete full rotation while still maintaining balance. Then after rotating walk on a straight line, just keep in mind that these movements can cause dizziness to some people even without vertigo. Hence it will be harder for people with this condition, even more.
